Hierarchy
Rising through these ranks will take time and patience. The hierarchical structure does not imply one rank is better than the other, only that they have more seniority within the Order. Enjoy your time at each rank, as they are all unique.
Jedi Initiate |
The youngest members of the Jedi Order. They achieve their rank when they are old enough for individual instruction, or upon joining. Training occurs in the Jedi Temple under the guidance of the staff and using the resources in the Archives.
Initiates must complete the following to be ranked up:
|
Jedi Padawan |
Initiates who are chosen by a Knight or Master for an apprenticeship. Their training largely occurs off-world. Padawans were given more authority within the Order, but they were still subject to their Master's demands.
Padawans must complete the following to be ranked up:
*Note: The Jedi Trials must be documented appropriately. All role-plays for these Trials must be recorded into a note-card. There must be a summary note-card, with the role-play logs attached for each individual Trial. |
Jedi Knight |
Padawans who have passed the Trials are no longer bound to a Master. They are free to travel the galaxy in the service of the Order and to take on their own apprentices.
That being said, Knights must still adhere to the Council. Progression beyond this rank is achieved by merit of character and mastery of the Force. Serving as a Jedi, adhering to the Code and training apprentices are all good methods towards moving up. Council Knights are elected into rotational seats (two of which), lasting two-three months at a time). They are considered to out-rank regular Jedi Knights. ** This process is not presently in effect but may be in the future. |
